COVID-19 cases being reported recently are mild infections, and there is no reason to worry, according to Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj. He assured that the situation in Delhi is still under control and there is no significant rise in cases. The information received so far about the disease from Delhi and neighboring states suggests that the cases are mild. Some people experience a mild cough and cold, while others have mild fever. Recovery from the disease has been quick. India has recorded 573 fresh cases of COVID-19, bringing the number of active cases to 4,565. Two new fatalities due to the disease were also reported. With an uptick in COVID-19 cases and the detection of the JN.1 sub-variant in the country, the Centre has advised states and Union territories to maintain vigilance. So far, 312 cases of the COVID-19 sub-variant JN.1 have been detected in the country, according to INSACOG’s data.
