Three months after its inception, the Bundelkhand Industrial Development Authority (BIDA) held its first meeting in Jhansi. Chaired by Manoj Kumar Singh, the meeting discussed proposals and made significant decisions related to land acquisition. The formation of BIDA, approved in September 2023, aims to develop a world-class industrial city in Jhansi, similar to Noida. The project will acquire 35,000 acres of land from 33 revenue villages and contribute to the development of the upcoming defence corridor. The initial land procurement will be managed by the UP State Industrial Development Authority.
