Telecom department to use AI for seamless network connectivity during Ram Temple inauguration

The telecom department is using artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to ensure seamless connectivity experience for telecom operators during the upcoming inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) is conducting predictive analysis to estimate the number of people attending the consecration ceremony on January 22 and to inform the telcos about the additional mobile sites required. The analysis will also determine which technology, 2G, 4G, or 5G, should be made available.
The inner periphery of the temple, where the ceremony will take place, is expected to host around 12,000 people, while there will be multiple times more outside the temple. To ensure uninterrupted network connectivity, telecom operators are making arrangements to support nearly twice the expected number of visitors.
According to officials, approximately 90-91 mobile towers or cell on wheels (COW) need to be set up based on the predictive analysis. The telcos will be informed about the number of 2G, 4G, and 5G towers required and their respective locations. The towers will be mobile, allowing them to be adjusted according to the crowd movement.
To centralize and monitor all telecom activities, a war room has been established by the DoT. It will act as the control centre throughout the event. DoT officials have been meeting with the telecom operators daily and conducting simulations to ensure efficient communication capabilities during the ceremony.
AI and ML have played a crucial role in deciding the technology towers and frequency bands that will serve the people. The efficient utilization of spectrum bands will offer excellent upload speeds along with downloads, as individuals are expected to upload videos from the venue. To cater to individuals from different economic backgrounds, there will be a mix of 2G, 4G, and 5G mobile towers.
The DoT will also be monitoring crowd management and security parameters by tracking the number of people assembled. This will aid law enforcement agencies in taking preventive measures. Additionally, the telecom networks will be secured to mitigate the risk of cyber-attacks. The DoT recognizes the potential vulnerability of telecom infrastructure and the increasing frequency of cyber-attacks, and they have invested significantly in infrastructure security measures.
In conclusion, the telecom department is leveraging AI and ML to provide uninterrupted network connectivity during the Ram Temple inauguration ceremony. The implementation of predictive analysis, along with the establishment of a war room, ensures efficient planning and coordination of telecom activities. This initiative not only aims to provide seamless connectivity to the visitors during the event but also emphasizes network security to prevent cyber-attacks.
