Medha Shankar’s character from the film ’12th Fail’ has been receiving a lot of praise from the audience since its release. Her portrayal as IRS Shraddha Joshi in the film elevated the emotional experience for viewers. Recently, the actress shared her feelings about working with Vikrant Massey and Vidhu Vinod Chopra in ’12th Fail’. In an interview with Filmfare, she talked about being cast in the movie.

Initially, the actress had no idea about the film or her role during the audition. However, when she underwent a screen test with Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Vikrant Massey, she gained confidence in her role. She realized that Shraddha is not just the love interest of Manoj but an integral part of his life journey and a source of strength for him. Reading the book made her feel connected to some of their experiences, and she felt proud and fortunate to have this role.

While sharing her on-screen experience with Vikrant, she mentioned that Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s shooting set emphasizes art and individual efforts, leaving little space to build personal bonds. However, Vikrant made an effort to check on her well-being and ensure everything was okay. During the promotional activities, they had the opportunity to develop a good bond with each other, and she described Vikrant as a nice person.

Regarding the director, Medha said that he is a perfectionist. If someone struggles to deliver the desired output, he will undoubtedly extract it from them. He knows how to bring out the best in actors and set high standards. She believes that his approach will help everyone discover the real actor within themselves.

She also revealed a kind gesture from Vidhu Chopra, mentioning that he used to give 20 bucks to actors or any workers on the set who did an extraordinary job in a day.
