In the wake of the Maldives-Lakshadweep controversy, Bollywood composer-singer Ankit Tiwari cancelled his February family vacation to the Maldives. Tiwari, a self-proclaimed beach person, had planned the trip with his wife and daughter but decided not to proceed after learning about the remarks made by influencers and ministers in the Maldives. Instead, they chose to explore the hidden gem of Lakshadweep, inspired by the scenic photos shared by Prime Minister Modi. Tiwari expressed his belief in the concept of Atmanirbhar Bharat and the importance of exploring India’s own stunning vacation spots. He mentioned his favorite places in India, including the beaches of Goa and Kerala and wildlife safaris. Tiwari concluded by saying that while one should explore the world, India offers a mini world of its own with a diverse range of landscapes and attractions.
