A day before Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, Assam Minister Ashok Singhal lashed out at the Congress party. Singhal stated that the Congress should apologize to the country for corruption and conduct a ‘Mafi Yatra’ instead of a ‘Nyay Yatra’. Singhal praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiatives such as the Jan Dhan Yojana, Har Ghar Jal, and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. He also expressed confidence in BJP’s victory in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. The Assam Minister highlighted that the Indian National Congress has lost the people’s trust and is more focused on protecting their families from corruption investigations.
