SC questions new Jet owners on employees’ dues

The Supreme Court has directed the new owners of Jet Airways to clarify how much they have paid towards the provident fund (PF) and gratuity dues of the airline’s employees. This comes after the previous owners of the airline failed to clear these dues. The court has also sought information on the airlines’ assets, bank accounts, and security deposits. Jet Airways, once India’s largest private airline, halted its operations in April 2019 due to a financial crisis.
