Kolkata Gets Second Rain Spell This Winter, Temperature Gap Falls to 3°C
    Uncategorized

Kolkata witnessed its second rain spell of the winter season, leading to a decrease in the temperature gap. The minimum temperature rose by three degrees, while the maximum temperature dropped to its seasonal low. This decrease in temperature gap is the narrowest recorded this season. Despite the low magnitude of the rain, it was able to contribute to the reduction in temperature gap. The Regional Meteorological Centre predicts a slight fall in the minimum temperature and anticipates a potential increase in the temperature gap by next week. A cyclonic circulation approaching Bengal resulted in heavy rainfall in Sriniketan, Birbhum. Kolkata only experienced traces of rain during this spell. However, December witnessed a significant amount of rain compared to the previous year. The chance of further rainfall in Kolkata for the coming days is low, with Friday expected to remain overcast.
