Assam’s Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced on Saturday that a grand theatrical production showcasing the life of Lachit Barphukan will be performed nationwide. The Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, unveiled a book titled ‘Assam’s Braveheart – Lachit Barphukan’ during a ceremony held at the Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra in Guwahati.
