The main accused, Eemani Naveen, 24, has been arrested by the Delhi Police in the case of deep fake profiles of actor Rashmika Mandana. According to DCP IFSO Unit Hemant Tiwari, Naveen, who hails from Andhra Pradesh’s Guntur, used to run a fan page of Mandana and also created two more fan pages of other celebrities. In order to increase followers, he resorted to creating deep fake videos. The police have recovered a laptop and mobile phone from Naveen, and are currently in the process of recovering deleted data. The investigation is still ongoing.
