Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s meeting with AIMIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi in London has sparked speculation about Congress extending an olive branch to AIMIM and the possibility of AIMIM president Asaduddin joining the INDIA bloc. Some Congress politicians are also in talks with Majlis Bachao Tehreek for a possible tie-up. The meeting in London follows the appointment of Akbaruddin as the pro tem speaker in the Telangana assembly after the formation of Revanth-led government in December. Congress holds 64 seats in the Telangana assembly, just four seats above the majority threshold.
