Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has officially ended his election campaign and thrown his support behind former President Donald Trump. With DeSantis’s withdrawal, the only remaining candidate against Trump in the Republican Party’s presidential candidate race is Nikki Haley. Trump secured a significant victory in Iowa, winning over 51% of Republican voters. DeSantis trailed behind with 21% support, while Haley received 19%. Prior to DeSantis, Vivek Ramaswamy also withdrew from the race after finishing fourth in Iowa’s leadoff caucuses.
