Navya Ayodhya Phase 2 Begins: Beautification and Gate Complex Construction to Enhance Ayodhya’s Grandeur

After the successful completion of Phase 1, the Navya Ayodhya project has moved forward with Phase 2, aligning with the vision of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to create a grand Ayodhya. The Ayodhya municipal corporation has crafted a detailed action plan to enhance the entry points of Ayodhya through median horticulture beautification. Furthermore, the greening and beautification of a 24km stretch along the banks of the Saryu river will be undertaken between Saadatganj and Lata Chowk. The Ayodhya municipal corporation plans to hire a contractor for a period of five years to decorate and maintain the middle and embankment slopes of the national highway. This will involve planting ornamental flowers and trees, employing an adequate workforce, and ensuring effective coverage of the median lane. The appointed contractor will also be responsible for maintaining the horticultural beautification work completed under the supervision of the Ayodhya municipal corporation for the next five years. Specific guidelines outlined by the Indian Road Congress (IRC-SP-21-2009) will be followed in the completion of tasks, such as keeping the road clean, providing continuous bore-well facilities for watering plants, and ensuring dust-free central medians and embankment slopes. The Ayodhya municipal corporation will also install signage boards in English and Hindi on the medians, highlighting emergency contact numbers and essential information for public awareness. Moreover, the project includes the construction of six grand gate complexes with a budget of Rs 140 crore. These gate complexes, initially planned for the Ayodhya-Sultanpur road with a budget of Rs 14.69 crore, aim to fulfill the vision of the glory of Treta Yuga of Ayodhya by constructing a five-storey gate complex.
