AIIMS Delhi Smart Card to Cover All Departments, No Cash Payment from April
    Uncategorized

The AIIMS Smart Card program, which was introduced on a pilot basis in certain departments of the premier health institute, will soon be extended to all sections of AIIMS Delhi by March 31. The smart card enables all types of payments, eliminating the need for cash transactions. The introduction of the AIIMS Smart Card aims to enhance the efficiency and convenience of transactions for both patients and staff. As part of the initiative, no cash payment will be accepted at any counters, except at the designated AIIMS Smart Card top-up counters. These counters will be available at multiple locations and operate 24×7. Patients and visitors will need to top up their smart cards at these counters to make payments for various services. This move towards a cashless payment system not only improves the overall transparency and accountability of financial transactions but also reduces the risk of handling physical currency during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The AIIMS Smart Card program has been well-received during the pilot phase, and its expansion is expected to further streamline payment processes at AIIMS Delhi. The initiative aligns with the government’s Digital India campaign, promoting the adoption of digital technologies and digital transactions across sectors. By eliminating cash payments and transitioning to a smart card-based system, AIIMS Delhi aims to enhance the overall experience for patients and contribute to the digital transformation of healthcare services.
