Constitution Forms the Foundation of Modern India, Says District In-Charge Minister

Republic Day is an occasion when all Indians recall the contribution of the Constitution in making India a modern nation, district in-charge Minister Satish Jarkiholi said in Belagavi on Friday. He spoke at the Republic Day celebrations and emphasized that the Constitution given by Dr B.R. Ambedkar is a model for the world. It has formed the foundation of modern India, liberating the country from foreign rule. Jarkiholi also mentioned the government’s Constitution Awareness Jatha, which aims to raise awareness about the values and aspirations of the Constitution among citizens. Tableaux carrying messages will visit all gram panchayats and urban local bodies, with a national convention on the issue planned for February 25 in Bengaluru. Jarkiholi also announced the Cabinet’s recognition of Basavanna as the cultural leader of the State for his societal reforms and ideology on work and distribution of wealth.
