Spain Experiences Abnormal January Heat
    Uncategorized

Spain faced an abnormal weather situation as warm temperatures were recorded during winter. A mass of hot air pushed the mercury almost to 30 degrees Celsius in some regions of the country. This anomaly affected around 400 meteorological stations, nearly half of Spain’s total. Overnight temperatures have also been warmer than usual. Researchers have noticed the increasing frequency of such abnormal weather events. Spain experienced high temperatures in December as well, setting a national record. The ongoing heatwave is exacerbating the drought situation, especially in Northeast Catalonia and Southwest Andalusia. Experts have warned that heatwaves will continue to intensify due to climate change.
