A five-day ball badminton tournament, hosted by the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Visakhapatnam, has commenced at the GCS school grounds in Anu Vihar of BARC township. This tournament is part of the 38th annual Department of Atomic Energy Sports & Cultural Meet 2023-24. Eight teams representing various units of the Atomic Energy Department from across the country are participating in the event. R. Venkat Rao, the honourary secretary of AP State Ball Badminton Association, highlighted the importance and uniqueness of ball badminton. The opening match was inaugurated by M. Srinivasa Rao, the project director of BARC Visakhapatnam.
