Right before the Lok Sabha elections, political turmoil is brewing within the Congress party in Himachal Pradesh as multiple MLAs are opening fronts against Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu’s government. Dharamshala MLA Sudhir Sharma questioned the delay in releasing the last installment of MLAs area development fund. Sujanpur MLA Rajinder Rana has criticized the dominance of non-elected cabinet members and the unresolved cases of party workers. Rana’s discontent could pose obstacles for the Congress party in the future.
