Jailed former prime minister Imran Khan has announced to hold intra-party polls again in his Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) party, following the annulment of the party’s earlier attempt by the country’s top electoral body. This comes after the PTI party faced numerous hurdles, including the loss of their party symbol and the imprisonment of Imran Khan and senior colleague Shah Mahmood Qureshi. Despite the late scheduling of the intra-party polls, the PTI party has already fielded independent candidates for the upcoming general elections.
