A two-year-old girl, who was playing outside her home, was lured with chocolates and allegedly raped by her 17-year-old neighbour at his house in Aligarh district on Saturday, according to the police. The accused has been arrested and booked under IPC section 376 (rape) and provisions of the Pocso Act following a complaint by the child’s family. The girl was sent to the district hospital for medical tests. The accused initially fled the scene but was apprehended by the police shortly after the incident. Locals who heard the child crying for help, went to the accused’s house. Further investigation is underway.
