Telugu Desam Party (TDP), one of the initial members of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), is inclined towards returning to the alliance after fruitful discussions between its leader, Chandrababu Naidu, and senior BJP leaders. The BJP leadership has reportedly expressed their desire to have TDP back in the NDA fold, which could prove to be advantageous for both parties in the upcoming Lok Sabha and state assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh. After meeting with Home Minister Amit Shah and party president J P Nadda, Naidu will discuss the matter with his ally, Pawan Kalyan, president of the Jana Sena Party, who is already a part of the NDA. Further talks and formalization of the alliance are expected to take place in the near future. The BJP-led alliance has recently gained momentum with the return of Nitish Kumar’s JD(U) and is actively engaging in discussions with other potential partners like TDP, Akali Dal, and RLD led by Jayant Chowdhary. The BJP is also considering a seat-sharing arrangement with RLD, offering two Lok Sabha seats, including Baghpat, currently represented by BJP MP Satya Pal Singh, and a Rajya Sabha seat. This effort from the BJP aims to strengthen NDA’s position and achieve the target of crossing 400 seats, as mentioned by PM Modi. For more details, read the complete article.
