The number of aspirants also saw a significant increase of about 27% compared to the previous year, with a total of 12.31 lakh candidates registering for the exam. The first session of the exam was held in February, while the second session is scheduled for April, and online registration is currently underway.
It is worth noting that the NTA score reflects the relative performance of candidates across multisession papers and is not the same as the percentage of marks obtained. The ranks are determined by considering the best of the two NTA scores. Paper 1 is for admission to BTech/BE programs in IITs, NITs, and CFTIs.
The results of JEE-Main Paper 1 and Paper 2 will determine the eligibility of around 2.6 lakh candidates to appear for the JEE-Advanced exam. The JEE-Advanced is the key examination for admission to the premier Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). The JEE-Main exam was conducted in 13 languages across 544 centers in 291 cities, including 21 cities outside India such as Abu Dhabi, Hong Kong, and Oslo.
