Swami Prasad Maurya, the national general secretary of the Samajwadi Party, has resigned from his position, citing discrimination and hypocrisy within the party’s leadership. In a letter addressed to SP president Akhilesh Yadav, party secretary Ram Govind Chaudhary has urged Yadav not to accept Maurya’s resignation. According to Chaudhary, Maurya has been fighting against the poisonous ideologies propagated by the RSS and BJP.
