US envoy taken to Fatehpur Sikri by fake guide in breach of security
    Uncategorized

US ambassador to India, Eric Michael Garcetti, faced a significant breach of security during his visit to Fatehpur Sikri in Agra. Garcetti was accompanied by an unlicensed guide, Shadab, who was seen in a video recording, escorting the ambassador and his family in the presence of police personnel. The incident has raised concerns about the effectiveness of security measures for VVIPs. According to Rajkumar Patel, the superintending archaeologist, it is the responsibility of the police to take action against unauthorized guides, as they are responsible for VVIP security. The matter will be thoroughly investigated. It is important to note that only licensed guides are allowed to operate in the Taj complex and other ASI-protected monuments. However, unauthorized guides, commonly known as ‘lapka’ in the local parlance, continue to plague Agra, specifically the parking lots of the Taj complex’s East and West Gates, as well as Fatehpur Sikri.
