MUMBAI: There will be no day block on the Western Railway suburban lines today and this will be a huge relief to commuters travelling between Churchgate and Virar stations.
A senior WR official said that a night block was carried out between Vasai Road and Bhayandar stations from midnight till 3.30am on Sunday.
This was done for the purpose of carrying out maintenance work of tracks, signaling and overhead equipment on the Up and Down fast lines between Vasai Road and Bhayandar.
During the block, a few late night trains were impacted. All fast line trains were operated on slow lines between Virar and Borivali, an official added.
