Confident of returning to government at the Centre for a third straight term, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said he was of the “firm conviction” that PM Narendra Modi would secure a third term. He expressed his wish for Modi to serve as Prime Minister for a fourth term while addressing a rally in Baripada, Mayurbhanj district. Rajnath Singh praised Modi’s leadership and the rise in India’s respect internationally. He stated that India’s economy has moved up to become one of the top five and would be among the top three by 2027 under Modi’s vision. Rajnath Singh also emphasized the BJP’s commitment to fulfilling its election manifesto promises and criticized the Congress party for their failure to end poverty and eroding the public’s faith in politicians.
