To showcase its technological prowess in the truck and bus radial segment, Apollo Tyres hosted a first-of-its-kind experiential drive event at the National Automotive Test Tracks (NATRAX) facility in Indore. During the event, over 70 fleet owners, business partners, and other participants gathered to get hands-on experience with the EnduTrax range, designed for the commercial vehicle sector. The motive of this exercise was the opportunity to test the durability, uptime, and grip of the EnduTrax tyres on a specially designed track. This track featured various challenging terrains such as slush pits, dirt gradients, gravel, and more, to test the tyres’ capabilities under real-world conditions. Vikram Garga, Marketing Head of Apollo Tyres for the APMEA region, said that in its five-year journey, the EnduTrax range has successfully transported over 50 billion tonnes and maintains a strong market share of 30-35% in a segment where over 2 lakh tyres are sold monthly.
The company boasts the highest market share in the tipper segment, with sales primarily driven by the EnduTrax range. This range includes models such as EnduTrax MD+, EnduTrax MD, and EnduTrax MA. The tyres are designed for durability, mileage, and resistance to cuts and chips, utilizing ACTO casing and elastomer matrix technology, along with precise manufacturing operations.
The layering of this range is carefully designed to withstand heavy loads while also providing high-speed performance on paved surfaces. The manufacturer has additionally reinforced the bead area to ensure durability and stability. Layered elastomer technology is used to minimize cuts and chips, exposing the tougher rubber layers as the tyre wears down over time. The success of the EnduTrax range is driven by the company’s expertise in carcass and compounding technologies, offering a balance of strength and resilience.
