Ankita Lokhande, famous for her appearance on the controversial reality show Bigg Boss 17, recently joined Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa for a podcast episode. Alongside her husband Vicky Jain, she talked about her time in Bigg Boss 17 and provided insights into her relationship with her in-laws.

During the interview, Bharti’s husband discussed Ankita’s stint on Comedy Circus and how Kapil Sharma would often complain about her higher payment compared to others. Haarsh Limbachiyaa, one of the writers of Comedy Circus, revealed that Ankita was part of the show while shooting for Pavitra Rishta as Archana. He mentioned that Ankita only shot for two episodes.

Bharti jokingly reminisced about the time when Ankita was enjoying the success of Pavitra Rishta. She mentioned Ankita’s stylish appearance, wearing leather pants, while everyone else had weird makeup for gags. Haarsh added that Ankita was a huge star, and they would eagerly wait for a glimpse of her. He also mentioned that Ankita was Kapil Sharma’s partner on the show. However, Ankita had to quit Comedy Circus as she had to travel to South Africa, leaving the show midway.

Bharti humorously interrupted, asking if she left the show due to attitude issues, to which Ankita clarified that she was shooting continuously for both Pavitra Rishta and Comedy Circus. She would shoot for Pavitra Rishta from 9 am to 9 pm and then travel to the location of Comedy Circus to shoot the entire night. Ankita prepared two acts in one night, making it a challenging schedule.

Bharti revealed that Ankita was the highest paid and the most expensive member on the show. Ankita agreed, mentioning that Kapil has always teased her about her high payment. Haarsh further revealed that Ankita was paid more than Kapil Sharma and questioned why someone doing the actual comedy should be paid less.

For those unaware, Ankita was replaced by Shweta Tiwari in 2011 and was Kapil Sharma’s partner on the show. Years later, she made a guest appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show to promote her film Baaghi and discuss daily soaps.
