Actor Rajat Verma, known for his role as Jay in the show ‘Dahej Daasi’, recently shared insights about his character and the unique experience of doing action sequences for the first time. Rajat mentioned that the show provided him with the opportunity to explore action scenes, which he had never done before. Despite a small injury in his thumb, he described the experience as fun and amazing. Discussing the preparation for his role, Rajat revealed that he had to transform his boy-next-door personality into that of a member of a Rajput family. He mentioned that his character, Jay Singh, is a young kunwar from a small village in Rajasthan who was raised by his mother. Due to being sent to Delhi for studies during his childhood, Jay is unfamiliar with the culture and traditions of his village. However, upon returning, he becomes aware of these customs and challenges them, displaying a rebellious and modern approach. Rajat mentioned that he connects with the character’s rebellious nature and his desire to fight against injustice and societal harm. The show, ‘Dahej Daasi’, also features Sayantani Ghosh in the role of Vindhya Devi. Produced by Do Dooni 4 Films’ Ravindra Gautam and Raghuvir Shekhawat, the show is currently airing on Nazara TV.
