However, Sonia Gandhi recently announced that she would not contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections due to increasing age and health issues. In a heartfelt letter to the voters of the constituency, she expressed her gratitude and hinted at a possible entry of a family member from Rae Bareli in the upcoming elections.
