The senior BJP leader and Vijayapura MP Ramesh Jigajinagi has been admitted to KLE Hospital in Belagavi on Sunday. He has been experiencing chest pain and minor bleeding in the brain. According to hospital sources, Jigajinagi’s health condition is stable. He is currently in the ICU as a precautionary measure, although the bleeding in the brain problem has already cleared and the chest pain has also subsided. The hospital authorities have confirmed that the chest pain is not related to the heart and that Jigajinagi is doing alright and talking normally with visitors. Jigajinagi, a six-time MP and three-time MLA, has previously won from multiple constituencies. He has won three times from the Chikodi Lok Sabha seat and three times from Vijayapura. Before that, he served as an MLA from the Ballolli assembly constituency in Vijayapura district.
