The New Market Traders Association in Margao has demanded the police to stop illegal vendors from selling their wares on the roadsides near the market complex. The association has given a 15-day deadline and warned of taking the law into their own hands if the police fail to meet their demand. The president of the association, Gopal Naik, stated that the unauthorized vendors occupying the roadsides lead to traffic bottlenecks and inconvenience their customers, affecting their business. Naik also called on the Margao Municipal Council to expedite the construction of a multi-level parking project.
