Sanju Samson Keeps His Promise, Plays Cricket with Specially-Abled Kid

Sanju Samson made the day of a specially-abled kid whom he had promised to meet upon his return to Kerala, and the wicketkeeper-batsman not only met the boy but also played cricket with him. Samson received widespread praise for his warm-hearted act, and the video of him batting as the boy bowled to him went viral on social media. Samson, who will next be seen in action for Rajasthan Royals in the upcoming Indian Premier League season, has been out of action since last month after Kerala were knocked out of the Ranji Trophy. In the recently released list of its contracted players, the BCCI included Samson in Grade C that offers players Rs 1 crore annually. The 29-year-old Samson has played 16 ODIs scoring 510 runs and 25 T20Is in which he has made 374 runs. His inconsistent run never allowed him a regular place in India’s white-ball squad.
