Alia Bhatt is headlining a film in the YRF spy universe, according to Yash Raj Films CEO Akshaye Widhani. The ambitious franchise, which includes films like Tiger starring Salman Khan, War starring Hrithik Roshan, and Pathaan starring Shah Rukh Khan, aims to bring together characters from different films in a shared universe. During his keynote speech at FICCI Frames, Widhani referred to the YRF spy universe as a financial and cultural juggernaut, and one of the studio’s most-prized IPs. Confirming the reports about Bhatt’s casting, Widhani expressed his excitement about having Alia Bhatt as part of the spy universe film. While details about the film are yet to be revealed, Bhatt is set to team up with Sharvari Wagh in the action entertainer. The film is scheduled to begin filming later this year. The spy franchise also includes an upcoming film titled War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan, NTR Jr, and Kiara Advani, directed by Ayan Mukerji.
