A 54-year-old woman named Elizabeth Babu from Adoor in Kerala’s Pathanamthitta district had a terrifying experience. While she was collecting grass to feed her cow, a wild boar charged at her. In an attempt to escape, she ran and tried to climb atop wooden planks laid across the mouth of an abandoned well on her property. Unfortunately, the planks gave way, and she fell around 50 feet into the well. Her husband filed a police complaint after failing to locate her. After nearly 22 hours, Elizabeth was finally rescued by the fire and rescue personnel. She was later admitted to the hospital for treatment. This incident serves as a reminder of the dangers that wildlife encounters can pose, even in residential areas.
