Thane: The Naupada police in Thane have started an investigation into the suicide of a 61-year-old woman who blamed her son and daughter-in-law for her death. The woman hanged herself last Saturday, and the police registered a case against the duo based on a complaint filed by the victim’s daughter, who is a lawyer. The suicide note, recovered from the deceased’s residence, stated that she was subjected to mental harassment by her son and daughter-in-law, who also wanted her to move to an old-age home. The victim had narrated her ordeal to her daughter a day before the alleged suicide, but unfortunately, she ended her life before her daughter could reach her.
