New Delhi: Shares of R K Swamy, Solar Ind., Wealth First Port, Somi Conveyor, and Gopal Snacks hit their fresh 52-week highs during Friday’s trade on NSE. Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 123.31 points down at 22023.35 amid selling in frontline bluechip counters. However, stocks such as Davangere Sugar, Omkar Speciality, Bohra Industries, Hindustan Zinc, and Bannari Amman touched their fresh 52-week lows. Overall, 14 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 36 closed in the red. In the Nifty 50 index, UPL, Bharti Airtel, Bajaj Finance, HDFC Life, and Adani Ent. were among the top gainers during the day, while M&M, BPCL, Coal India Ltd, Tata Motors, and L&T ended in the red. The BSE Sensex closed 453.85 points down at 72643.43. Traders piled up positions in Telecommunications, Leather, IT – Hardware, Cables, and Irrigation & Allied Services sectors, while selling was witnessed in Agro Processing, FMCG, Defence, Logistics, and Mining sectors during the day.
