The Himachal Pradesh Travel Agents Association (HPTAA) has raised concerns over the possibility of holding Lok Sabha elections later in the year. The association has urged the Election Commission of India (ECI) to schedule the elections in phase 1 to avoid interfering with the peak tourist season. According to the HPTAA, conducting elections during this period would cause inconvenience to tourists and affect the livelihood of the travel and tourism industry in the region.
