Waltair Division of the Indian Railways, a crucial segment of the Indian rail network, has achieved a significant milestone by exceeding Rs. 10,000 crore in revenue for the first time in any financial year. This remarkable feat was accomplished with five days remaining in the financial year, highlighting the division’s exceptional performance. Saurabh Prasad, the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), commended the team for their dedicated efforts and hard work that led to this impressive achievement. The success of the Waltair Division can be attributed to its customer-focused strategies, close coordination with customers, operational efficiency improvements, capacity enhancements, passenger amenities upgrades, and effective crew management.

Despite facing various challenges, such as natural disasters, security concerns, infrastructure projects, and safety modernization efforts, all departments of the Waltair Division managed to deliver exceptional performance throughout the year. This impressive milestone reflects the division’s commitment to excellence and continuous improvement. The division aims to end the current financial year on a high note, showcasing its dedication to sustaining progress and achieving further success in the future.
