Indian shares open lower as concerns over interest rate cuts arise

Indian shares opened lower on Wednesday, dragged by financials and information technology stocks, and tracking a drop in global stocks after fresh U.S. data raised concerns about the Federal Reserve delaying interest rate cuts. The blue-chip NSE Nifty 50 index was down 0.30% at 22,385.70, while the BSE Sensex shed 0.20% to 73,757.23, as of 9:15 a.m. IST.
