Leading Indian automaker Mahindra & Mahindra has revealed the name of its new sports utility vehicle (SUV) – XUV 3XO. The company announced that the vehicle, pronounced as ‘3-ex-Oh’, will be launched on April 29. With a focus on thrilling performance, cutting-edge technology, unmissable design, and unparalleled safety, the XUV 3XO aims to cater to the aspirations of urban drivers. Manufactured at its Nashik unit in Maharashtra, the new model will be on an all-new EV platform. Mahindra & Mahindra reported a 40% rise in SUV sales in February and expects traction in the coming months. Utility vehicles have become increasingly popular in India, accounting for nearly 60% of total passenger vehicle sales. Mahindra & Mahindra aims to capture this market trend with the XUV 3XO. The company has experienced a 28% increase in passenger vehicle wholesales in FY24.
