Wipro, one of India’s top IT companies, announced that its expatriate CEO Thierry Delaporte will be leaving the company. Delaporte, who was the first European executive to lead Wipro, will be pursuing his passions outside of the workplace. In his place, Srini Pallia, a company veteran of three decades, will be taking over as the new CEO. Wipro has been facing challenges and underperformance in recent years, leading to an exodus of senior leadership. The market had already anticipated the CEO transition.
