The Trinamool Congress (TMC) has alleged an unholy alliance between the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of the elections in West Bengal. The TMC’s allegations came after a team of the NIA was allegedly attacked by a mob when trying to arrest two suspects in a blast case. The NIA denies any wrongdoing and asserts that its actions were lawful. A political slugfest ensues as the TMC accuses the NIA and BJP of conspiring against them. The BJP refutes the allegations and claims that the TMC is diverting attention from their own misdeeds.
