Attacking NCP faction headed by his uncle Sharad Pawar, Maharashtra deputy CM Ajit Pawar said at a public meeting in Baramati on Tuesday that ‘if I open my mouth, some of my extended family members will not be able to show their faces to anyone’. Ajit Pawar’s attack came a day after his nephew Rohit Pawar, without taking the latter’s name, alleged that a ‘person from the opposition camp has prepared a list of goons, including those with murder cases’, who were used to make threatening calls to voters of Baramati. Sharad Pawar’s daughter Supriya Sule is pitted against Mahayuti candidate and Ajit Pawar’s wife Sunetra Pawar in Baramati. During a social media session, Rohit said: ‘You (Ajit Pawar) are using money, pressure tactics and police, threatening people to reopen their old cases. They are threatening salaried people of private firms in Baramati. This is all wrong, Dada; and you must stop it. We will fight against it.’ Rohit said, without elaborating further on the allegations.
