Amid the announcement of Lok Sabha candidates of Congress party in Haryana, a delegation of farmers from Uchana Kalan of Jind and Bhiwani districts met with Haryana Congress affair incharge Deepak Babariya in Delhi on Sunday. They submitted a memorandum to Sonia Gandhi and Malikarjun Kharge, urging them not to field incumbent MP Brijendra Singh from Hisar seat. Singh recently joined the Congress party after quitting the saffron party. The farmers expressed their anger towards Singh and his father Birender Singh, who had advocated for the three farm laws that have now been repealed. They stated that Singh, who was in favor of the repealed laws, had deceived the farming community after seeking their votes. The farmers warned that if the Congress party fields him, they will face strong opposition from the farming and labor communities.
