The prachar rath, or campaign chariot, belonging to Mihir Kotecha, BJP’s candidate for the North East Mumbai Lok Sabha seat, was vandalized by anti-social elements in Lallubhai Compound, Mankhurd. This incident took place on the birth anniversary of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar, considered the architect of the Indian Constitution. Kotecha expressed his disapproval of the act and accused the opposition of trying to incite communal tensions and inflame the minds of the youth. He called for restraint from BJP and Mahayuti workers. Earlier in the day, Kotecha paid tributes to Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar at Mata Ramabai Ambedkar Nagar and RTO Colony in Ghatkopar (East). He also honored the statues of other revered figures, including Tathagata Gautama Buddha and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, on the occasion.
