Tackling Mobile Frauds in New Govt’s 100-day Plan: Caller ID Service, National Cyber Security Agency to be Set Up

India is taking steps to tackle the rising issue of online and phone frauds. The government, along with private telecom companies, will implement a multi-pronged approach to combat these fraudulent activities. Within 100 days of the new government’s takeover, the Calling Name Presentation (CNAP) service will be made operational. This service will enable individuals receiving calls to see the name of the caller. Additionally, a National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) will be established to further enhance cybersecurity measures in the country. These initiatives aim to strengthen the security infrastructure and protect individuals from falling victim to various types of frauds. By leveraging technology and collaboration between government and private entities, India is taking proactive steps in the fight against cybercrime and ensuring a safer digital environment for its citizens.
