The Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education has announced the results of the high school and intermediate board examinations for the year 2024 on April 20. The results for class 10 and 12 exams for the Uttar Pradesh State Board of High School and Intermediate examinations, which began on February 22, can be checked on the websites of the Secondary Education Council and the NIC website. The pass percentage for Class 10 stood at 89.55 and that for Class 12 at 82.60. Prachi Nigam of Sitapur district secured the first position in Class 10 with 98.50% marks, while Shubham Verma, also from Sitapur, topped the Class 12 exams with 97.80% marks. According to the U.P. board, over 55 lakh candidates appeared for the exams this year. The board ensured secure identification by distributing admit cards with QR codes to all candidates. To prevent malpractices, a three-tier team was established to open question paper packets at examination centers, and disciplinary actions will be taken against any deviation from the established protocol. The Special Task Force, local intelligence department, and police have been mobilized to combat cheating. The monitoring system includes the Quick Response Team to address any irregularities on social media. A robust monitoring system comprising Sector Magistrates, Zonal Magistrates, State-level observers, and mobile squads has been established to oversee the examination process.
