Fifteen children were injured after their school bus overturned in Ranchi on Saturday, April 27, 2024 morning, police said. The bus with 30 children onboard overturned at a turning, about 100 metres from the St Maria School in Mandar. About 15 children were injured and they are currently under observation at the nearby Mission Hospital. One of the children received a head injury and is undergoing a CT scan. The conditions of all the children are otherwise fine. An investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the accident, as well as verify allegations of speeding and the bus driver talking on the phone. The bus driver is currently on the run and a search is ongoing for him.
