India’s PNB Housing Finance (PNBH.NS) reported a 57% rise in fourth-quarter profit on Monday, supported by sustained demand for home loans and a decrease in non-performing loans. The premium and luxury housing segments experienced strong demand, while the affordable segment saw a decline due to high interest rates. PNB Housing Finance saw significant disbursements in the fourth quarter as home buyers anticipated a rate cut. The company’s net interest income rose by 7% year-on-year and its net interest margin expanded to 3.65%.
